After years of experience and many many happy patients -- it is my firm opinion that generally speaking the Tummy Tuck ( Abdominoplasty) gives the best long lasting result in body contouring. Remember: Tummy Tuck treats excess skin and fat-whereas lipo only treats fat. Therefore, if you're looking for your best results-- I'm recommending Tummy Tuck /Abdominoplasty. Fat transfer to the buttocks in my opinion has comparable post operative discomfort. However, it does not last as long as the Tummy Tuck. A large percentage of the fat to the buttock will disappear. In , perhaps, about two years. You can not do a Tummy Tuck simultaneously with a BBL.
You ask whether you "need" a tummy tuck. I would re-state your question: do you "want" the results that onlya tummy tuck can give you. From your photos I think you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck, as long as you can accept the incision and scars. My patients don't find a BBL anywhere as uncomfortable as a tummy tuck. Best of luck!
Thanks for your picture. I think liposuction would be beneficial for you. Whether a tummy tuck or a BBL hurts more depends on the patient. Patients at different pain tolerance levels. So there's no correct answer to that question. Good luck.Earl Stephenson Jr. MD DDS FACS
I think that liposuction alone with the BBL may be OK for you, but the skin is difficult to assess from that single picture.Find a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of liposuction procedures and Brazilian buttlifts each year, has great reviews, and has great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
I think a tummy tuck is more uncomfortable for patients. I do not find that my BBL patients are in a lot of pain at all. It is difficult to say what you might need without a formal exam.
You might be able to have lipo with BBL (fat to buttocks) as the better option. But only in person evaluations allow a more definitive response..//
It depends on the musculature and an exam would be necessary to make a specific assessment for you. If the muscles are weak, then a TT. If it is simply excess fat, then lipo. As I personally have had neither procedure (!) I couldn't tell you which procedure is more painful, Every patient experiences pain differently. What is most important is to decide what issue you want to address surgically. Best wishes, Dr K
You need to be seen. And then I could evaluates what you want and what is best for you, over the internet it is impossible to know how much skin and fat you have. Pain is controlled by medication.
Hello and thank you for your question. A tt usually hurts worse. I think you would do well however without the tt and doing liposuction of the abdomen and flanks and possibly thighs with a Brazilian lift by injecting the fat into the buttocks. I like my patients to stay off their butts for about a week after surgery lying on your tummy.
It's hard to give you a complete answer as the photograph you provided is not a close up of your belly button. From what I can see, you are starting to get stenosis which is contracture of the rim of the belly button. This can lead to a very small pinhole opening if not treated...
An anchor includes a vertical as well as horizontal scar. There are few settings where I believe that it is a good trade off. No doubt you can get significant skin tightening, but there are options that will provide a better outcome in most cases if you do not use a vertical scar....
It is difficult to evaluate you without pictures. Your BMI is ~ 35. It is recommended to be below 30 for a better outcome. However these are not strict numbers and they are only used for guidance. In some patients, most of their abdominal fat stores in their lower abdomen, the way you...
