Answer: TT in high BMI patient Dear Denis, Your BMI, as was mentioned to you in the previous answer, is above 35 and your weight is 65 pounds over your ideal weight - 150 lbs. Your best action would be to be seen by an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who will examine you and determine the amount of your intra abdominal fat. If the fat accumulation in the abdomen is such that your muscles should not be tightened satisfactorily because of possible breathing difficulty after surgery , you will have to lose weight on your own or by gastric bypass surgery. TT itself, when it is possible to tighten the muscles in the belly can help you lose weight dramatically. So, the answer to your question is yes, but you have to be assessed by a very experienced plastic surgeon who had performed at least hundreds of TTs. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Tummy tuck not really recommended Based on your stated weight and height your body mass index is over 35. In that range, you are at higher risk for healing problems, infection, and an unsatisfactory result. I would try and get closer to a more appropriate weight. This would be in your medical best interest, and in your cosmetic best interest as well. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Tummy tuck is possible Its hard to say without photographs. You likely have some degree of intra-abdominal fat which may limit the results, but it really depends on your goals and the amount of lower abdominal skin laxity. It is worth it to get a consultation and see what your options are.

Answer: Be closer to your ideal body weight for the best tummy tuck result Based on your measurements your significantly above your ideal body weight. The problem with having a tummy tuck when you are overweight is that the tummy tuck skin cannot be tightened adequately because the fat beneath the skin prevents proper treatment of the abdominal skin.Weight loss is your best option before considering tummy tuck The abdominal skin should be loose and sagging with minimal excess fat making the abdominal skin more tense. Another option is to have liposuction and wait 6 months to a year until you have loose skin before having your tummy tuck.
