Is it safe for me to do Emsculpt on my stomach after lipo and abs sculpting?

I've had a tummy tuck, lipo and abs sculpting 2.5 years ago and healed nicely. I wasn't certain if this would be ok given the work I've had done. I don't have excess fat and have kept my weight down. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. Most patients are great candidates for Emsculpt after a tummy tuck and lipo. Emsculpt will strengthen your core and tone your muscles. Each treatment is 30 minutes long and is equivalent to doing 20,000 sit-ups. Typically 4 treatments are recommended spaced 2-3 days apart in a 2 week period for best results. It is best to consult with a Medical Esthetician at a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office.

Emsculpt is likely to be totally safe in this situation, post liposuction and ab sculpting. In fact it may be beneficial because when you have liposuction the micro circulation to the skin is disrupted and can cause premature aging in the area treated. Additionally scar tissue can form which can block lymphatic drainage. Increasing the muscular contractions will increase blood flow through your tissue in the area. That may result in a healthier appearance of your abdominal skin. I would make sure that you have a proper consultation with a supervising physician though prior to doing a session to make sure that you are a good candidate given the surgical history.
