I am 5'3 about 129 lbs. Lost 50lbs of baby weight. I've been able to close my diastasis from a 4 to a 1-2cm, when flexed. My biggest bulge is above the naval and at the naval when at rest. I don't have that much loose skin. I weight lift regularly. I've been cleared of any hernias, the general surgeon just diagnosed diastasis with weak mid line at the naval and above.

Answer: Can emsculpt help with baby belly post partum? Hi CCK, First of all, you look great! I have delivered hundreds of babies, and had 3 myself, so I know the challenge of the PP baby belly! I had a terrible diastasis with my 2nd....Thank goodness the 3rd was good to me. Anyway, Emsculpt works great on diastasis. I will say, I would want to evaluate you in person to see where that little bulge is coming from. Often when we work out heavily with a diastasis we use our bigger abdominal muscles and they can cause what I call a "bicep belly" which is a convex shape to the belly like flexing your bicep on your arm. This is because the larger muscles retain their connection to the nerves where the little ones don't. These muscles keep getting bigger and the smaller muscles keep getting weaker......belly pouches out. Emsculpt contracts all of your muscles and reawakens the smaller weaker ones, creating better balance and the belly starts to suck in. If this is the case with you, which I suspect it is, Emsculpt should solve this problem. You will need to do some specific isometric exercises when you are not doing the emsculpt to keep them stimulated until they are really working well again. I would definitely go slow on the emsculpt in your first session and work up to full strength if indicated. I hope this helps! Good luck, Dr. Jamé

Answer: Emsculpt I think you would be a perfect candidate for EmSculpt. You should not only expect to see a decrease in abdominal fat but more tone and better definition of your abdominals. All of my patients can definitely feel the increased core strength. Though not indicated for this, a significant improvement in diastasis can also be seen. Best.
