I want to get emsculpt on my lower abdominal pouch. Where should the emsculpt paddles be placed? Internal and external obliques? to pull my stomach in? Or directly down center on rectus abdominis? I'm worried placing it on the rectus abdominis will just give me a muscular pouch.

Answer: EMSculpt Applicator Placement If you are targeting the abdominal muscles then the EMSculpt applicators should be placed in such a manner to stimulate maximal contraction of the rectus abdominis muscle group. This is why you should be under the care of an experienced physician and not just a "technician". You need an in-person consultation and examination to determine whether you are an appropriate candidate for the treatment. Best wishes.

Answer: EMSculpt Proper paddle placement has the device nestled up against the rib cage. The magnetic field is dome shaped. For most, this placement will effectively stimulate the whole of the rectus abdominis muscle length (upper and low). In rare cases (longer torso), a second paddle can be applied to obtain more complete and uniform coverage. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MD Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Member: American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons RealSelf Verified Member RealSelf Top 100 RealSelf Hall of Fame
