Typically, patients are required to wait at least two weeks post surgery before pursuing post-op maintainence treatments. Since you are 6 months post-op you should be cleared to pursue Emsculpt. Be sure to verify with your board certified physician that you are a candidate. Best, Dr. Emer. 

It can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to heal from abdominoplasty surgery.  As long as you can be cleared by the plastic surgeon, it should be safe for you to do Emsculpt treatments.   

It can take anywhere from 6 months to 12 months for the area to fully heal after surgery. As long as you're cleared by your surgeon it should be safe to receive Emsculpt treatments. It's the perfect adjunct treatment to a tummy tuck because it will increase your results in tightening and firming the belly. Good luck!

Although it is difficult to say without an in person examination, Emsculpt can be a great option to help further sculpt and tone the muscle, following fat removal by liposuction. You will want to wait until your incisions have healed and swelling/bruising has subsided before undergoing Emsculpt treatment. There is no exact time that we can advise. You need to be cleared by your surgeon for strenuous exercising and each surgeon and patient is different.

6 months would be fine! You are good to go. The longer you wait the longer it has time to heal. I am comfortable with 6 months.

With the exception of the maturation of skin incisions all your healing is complete including maturation of scar tissue. Very little is going to change from here on with the exception of your skin incision which should continue to improve for another six months.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
