I've never had much trouble maintaining a healthy weight. However I've always had a tummy that sticks out. It doesn't go away when I lose weight, and I feel I'd almost have to starve myself to get the flat tummy of my dreams. Although I'm fairly slim and young, I'm worried that I'd be left with loose skin, which would be, for me, a worse outcome than leaving my body alone. I don't want a tummy tuck procedure. I'm 27 years old, female, 5' 9" and weigh approx 145lb

Answer: Recommendations for Abdominal Improvement Thank you for your question and the provided images. After a preliminary analysis, it seems the primary concern is not excess fat but a weakness in the rectus abdominis muscles from the belly button to the sternum. Your skin appears healthy, with no visible stretch marks, and there is minimal fat above the muscle. Liposuction generally addresses subcutaneous fat, but it won’t resolve muscle weakness. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is typically recommended to correct weakened abdominal muscles effectively. Given your specific condition, a tummy tuck would likely offer optimal results. If this is not an option you want to consider, I'd advise against undergoing liposuction alone as it may not provide the desired outcome due to the muscular concern. I am available to discuss this further to address any more queries or concerns you might have. Sincerely, Haley

Answer: Liposuction adding Renuvion "Based on your description and the pictures you provided, it sounds like you could be a good candidate for liposuction. This procedure can help to remove stubborn pockets of fat and contour your body more to your liking. Given your age and the fact that you're fairly slim, the risk of significant loose skin post-liposuction may be less. Adding Renuvion to your liposuction could be a great addition to help with potential skin laxity and give your better long-lasting results. "

Answer: Good candidate for liposuction + renuvion? Dear Thrifty757791, Thank you for your question! Have you had any children? If not, I believe you would be a great candidate for liposuction + renuvion to help tighten the skin. I do this commonly for my patients who have photos like yours. The renuvion/j-plasma will help tighten that skin after the liposuction. I recommend an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in liposuction, body contouring and has advanced treatment modalities such as renuvion/j-plasma.
