The use of a strap the lower the implants makes no sense to me. If the breast implant is in the correct position swelling resolution will permit proper descent.
Thank you for the photos. You are only two weeks post op. It is very early in the post operative course. You will have swelling and most likely some spasm of the muscle. This seems to be especially true if you were small before and go relatively larger. They usually settle in and change with time. Every plastic surgeon is different and each patient is different. Please do call your board certified plastic surgeon's office and tell them your concerns. They may have a protocol that they like and have been successful with...
Breast implants under the muscle typically take a month or so to drop. If they were placed through the armpit or of the muscle was not completely released they may not drop as much
It is normal for your breasts to go through changes over the months following breast augmentation. When done correctly, expect 3 to 6 months to see the final result. The strap or band may help to push them down faster but if it is uncomfortable, wait for the pain to subside before starting.Good Luck
In MOST cases, implants will descend somewhat. However, there are certainly limits to how they will fall depending on the initial starting point.I would suggest returning to your surgeon, and listen to what they tell you. It i early in your recovery and time and gravity is on your side.
Your implants will definitely drop with time. I see from your other posts that you had an IMF approach and started with a relatively tight skin envelope. This will take some time to allow for your breasts to settle into their new position. I estimate that you will be happy in 3 months. Straps help speed the process, but gravity will always work if given enough time. All the best,Dr. Mussman
Hi Peera. It is hard to evaluate you from your pictures, but based on my experience, your implants will drop with time. If you have concerns, I suggest you discuss them with your plastic surgeon. Good luck
PS usually breast implants will continue to drop without a pole wraps. If your breast implants are placed beneath the chest muscle pectoralis tightening and stretching exercises can also help as well as breast implant displacement exercises. However if your plastic surgeon recommends a pole wrap I strongly advise you to follow the advice of your plastic surgeon and where the pole wraps In my experience the pole wraps can be very helpful and usually does not need to be worn much longer than a week or 2.
Cost for your procedures will vary between surgeons. The cost will vary between geographic areas. The cost will also vary between whether this is performed in a hospital or the surgeon's office. The best way to find out the cost for you would be to schedule a personal consultation.
In my opinion general support is all it is necessary after breast augmentation particularly for comfort. However the specific direction should be obtained from your own surgeon. I see no problem showering the day after breast augmentation.
Hi CT,Exciting! I wish you the best on your upcoming surgery. Here are a few tips for picking the best size. This is perhaps the hardest decision for a patient to make, as well as the surgeon. Cup size estimates can be misleading, but I generally advise patients that they will...
Ulcerative Colitis is not necessarily a contraindication for an elective cosmetic surgical procedure, such as a breast augmentation. If your UC is well-controlled and your gastroenterologist has cleared you for a surgical procedure, there is no reason not to go ahead with a breast...
I think you're an excellent candidate for breast augmentation. I think you're exaggerating the magnitude of your chest wall deformity but the breast implants will camouflaged to some extent.
Change of blood flow, and scarring (deep and at the skin level) can cause hair follicles to shut down restricting new hair growth. The current hair may go in the dormant phase (telogen) and fall out (telogen effluvium). Areas involved with scarring may result in areas of permanent loss of hair...
