Can I get breast augmenration with pigeon chest? (Photo)

Question

Hi I would like to know if I can get breast implants. I'm 24 weigh 118 lbs 5'3" and have a pigeon chest. It sticks out on my right area and I just want to have a fuller breast and cleavage. I'm a 34c and would like to know if I can don't this procedure and around how much?

I think you're an excellent candidate for breast augmentation. I think you're exaggerating the magnitude of your chest wall deformity but the breast implants will camouflaged to some extent.

The shape of your ribcage will affect how the implants look.  Since the ribcage has an outward orientation, the breasts as well as any breast implants will follow this projection.  An implant that is carefully chosen based on your breast width, and anatomical features,  will give you the best chance for having some improvement of your cleavage.  A 3D simulation using the Vectra system will allow you to get an idea of what the implants will look like.

It is difficult to determine from photos alone the severity of your chest wall deformity. The prominence of the ribcage may push the implants to the side, limiting the amount of cleavage that can be provided. Even so, there is a good chance that a breast augmentation may result in improvement. Silicone implants are often advisable for patients with chest wall irregularities, since the implants are softer than saline and can conform better to the irregularities. Most importantly, you should meet personally with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery for a better assessment, and a discussion regarding what outcomes might reasonably be expected. yes you can get implants, but cleavage may be hard to achieve.  what you give the surgeon is what you will get only bigger. your nipples will still be lateral and you may have more of a distance between your breasts than you would prefer

Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your photographs, I see no reason why you will not end up with a great outcome with breast augmentation surgery. Generally speaking, patients with pectus carinatum, present with a relatively prominent sternum and a somewhat laterally inclined chest wall. A well executed breast augmentation procedure may help to camouflage the patient's concerns surrounding  pectus excavatum or pectus carinatum for patients.  In your case, care must be taken during the dissection of the breast implant pockets to avoid movement of the breast implants to the sides. Select your plastic surgeon carefully and communicate your goals carefully as well. You may find the attached link, dedicated to patients with chest wall concerns, helpful to you. Best wishes.

Based on your photos, but without examing you, implants are possible. Whether they will achieve the cosmetic result that you desire can only be determined at the time of a consultation.Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other
website who proposes to tell you what to do based on limited two dimensional
photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your
desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons
of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural
appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for
one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that
you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery
and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic
Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss
your concerns with that surgeon in person.

If you want implants you can get them as there does not appear to be any surgical contraindication judging from your pictures. The real question is will you be happy if you get implants? Implants basically make a bigger version of you. Because of your chest wall your breasts point outward. If a bigger version of that would make you happy than you may be a good candidate.
