One side of my nose looks/feels deflated, and the other side is bony. Never had it repositioned after the injury unfortunately because I was 15 and dumb. Can this be corrected or too risky?
Answer: Traumatic injury from 5 years ago. Can this be corrected Considering a Rhinoplasty? The areas of your nose that concern you can be realistically improved with an artistically performed rhinoplasty. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do based on two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best surgery. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: YES- I Recommend Open Rhinoplasty | Plastic Surgery | Male Nose Job Expert | Breathing | Deviated Crooked | Old Fracture | Rib Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. I actually answered your similar question from 5/8/24. To help other people with similar questions, I have copied my answer here as follows: Addressing some asymmetry to your nose (especially if you have a history of nasal trauma) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to address your old injury, improve your breathing, make your nose straighter and more symmetric, and adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose! This truly a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question! Based on the photos you provided, it does appear you have a lateral deformity of the nasal dorsum causing an irregularity in the dorsal aesthetic lines. This is something that could be corrected with a rhinoplasty. However, it would be best to seek an in-office consult with a plastic and reconstructive surgeon to assess what procedures and techniques would work best for your aesthetic goals. Hope this helps!

Answer: Rhinoplasty to improve shape... Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. If your nose used to be straight, then you have a good chance of making it straight again. Rhinoplasty can make your nose straighter, and the tip can be refined at the same time. It would not be a risky procedure, but be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Answer: You may be a candidate for a permanent non-surgical nose job. Based on your photos, you appear to have a concavity along the left side wall of your nose. This is likely the result of your nasal trauma. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe considered for achieving a straighter nasal appearance. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
