Is a SculpSure treatment safe 6 months post op tummy tuck? Will this treatment interfere with the tummy tuck scar?

Yes. SculpSure is absolutely safe after a
tummy tuck. SculpSure’s clinical guidelines include a precaution about
treating directly over scars, but we have not found this to be an issue.

One point we always
address with this concern is whether the fat that the patient is seeking to
target is just an overall excess in the abdomen, or an abnormality where fat
has accumulated right along the suture line, creating a weird contour. If you
have the latter, where fat has created a strange, unnatural contour for your
body, we tend to recommend laser liposuction, because it gives the surgeon more
control in correcting the contours and overall silhouette.

Either way, it’s best to choose an experienced
physician, who has both non invasive (SculpSure, CoolSculpting, etc) and
minimally invasive options (such as laser liposuction) available for you. In

It will depend on whether or not your abdomen is still numb. If so then you will need to wait until the feeling has returned before getting SculpSure. My best advice would be to schedule a consultation with a SculpSure provider to be examined in person. Best of luck.

appreciate your concern.After 6 months of a tummy tuck, you should be almost healed. The only limitation for the procedure is numbness to the area. This is imperative for the success of sculpsure and to prevent complications.

Thank you for your question.It depends on how much sensation you have regained since your tummy tuck surgery.  If you dont have full sensation back as of yet, you can possibly  get a burn because of the decreased sensation.  You should not place the applicators on tummy tuck scars at this time because most likely they still have diminished sensation.  Good luckThank you
