I’m finding my breast implants a little too big. I’m wondering if it’s better just to switch to a low profile implant or to keep my moderate profile but go lower cc?
Answer: Implants I would do both, go down in profile and in size, since you think your breasts are too large. Find a photo of breast that you do like and show your surgeon.

Answer: Decreasing breast size I'm sorry you are unhappy with your implants. To best reduce the overall breast size you will want to reduce the implant volume. You can keep the same profile as long as you are happy with the projection. Be aware that if you reduce the implant size significantly you may also need to revise the breast lift.

Answer: Breast size too large after augmentation Thank you for submitting your questions and photos. I’m sorry you are unhappy with your breast size after your mastopexy/augmentation. If you wanted to revise in order to reduce the size, I would recommend decreasing your implant size while maintaining the moderate profile. If you keep the same volume but change to a low profile, the implant will be wider and may not fit your breast pocket very well. A wider implant can make it look like your breasts are too close together or you have too much “side boob”. If you keep the same profile but decrease the volume, the implant will be very slightly narrower, and you’ll have a slight decrease in projection. This would likely meet your aesthetic desire better than a low profile. Of course, I’d recommend seeking out a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over your options in more detail. Good luck and thanks again for reaching out.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear newgirl14, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras. If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Profile The profile of the implant will only change the diameter of the implant and the projection but if you are keeping the same size of implant, a profile change will likely only make the implant 2-5 mm wider and 2-5 mm less projecting which you will really not be able to notice. In general, in order to see a smaller breast size you would have to decrease at least 75+ cc BUT then you may end up with some skin looseness requiring another breast lift. Things to keep in mind when making your decision.
