Question

I had saline implants under the muscle 10 years ago, in this ct scan u can see the implants and my natural breast, the natural breast is looking boxy and not round, did the implants cause this ? Can it be fixed by removing the implants or exchanging them

Hi Nice.  It's very difficult to give a surgical recommendation without an actual photo or physical exam.  I rarely recommend saline implants since they typically do not give the natural feel and appearance that silicone implants provide.  Implant revision surgeries can be a challenge, so I highly recommend seeking out a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in surgery of the breast and is very experienced in implant revisions to determine your best surgical option. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. It is your decision, do you want to keep the implants or not. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Although making a diagnosis based solely on a CT scan is not very reliable, the shape irregularity in the breast may likely be caused by sagging. In this case, a breast lift would be an appropriate solution. If needed, implant replacement can also be performed during the same procedure.

Photos of your breast would have been very helpful, but implants do change your size and can change the shape. You might consider going down in size and perhaps in volume. Do remember you were not happy with your size initially and may not be happy if the implants are removed.

As you've had the implants for ten years there are several changes that may have occurred.  The pressure from the implants may have thinned your native breast tissue.  Sagging could have occurred from natural aging or weight of the implants as well.  If you are happy with the overall size you may wish to have a lift to improve the shape.
