I had breast augmentation surgery, and in the following months, my left breast was always painful and significantly more swollen than my right (I was told this is normal). As time went by, I noticed my left breast starting to hang lower than my right, and the implant bulging at the bottom. Is this a "bottom out"? The asymmetry is disconcerting. Before and After pictures included.

I would recommend a complex breast revision including removing the diseased capsules, placing new implants and Galaflex. Capsular contracture requires that the diseased capsules are removed. If you do not remove the capsules, there is a 50% chance of recurrence of the capsular contracture.
If all the capsule has been removed in the area of the metaplasia, then I would suggest meeting with an oncologist to see if any preventive treatment is needed. Bilateral complete capsulectomy and implant removal is the standard treatment. I have not seen this in any of my patients.
If you have a shaped implant, I suggest exchanging your implants for smooth and round implants. If your implant is placed over the muscle, I would suggest placing it behind the muscle. Your pockets may also need to be tightened.
