Will downsizing in implants allow for smaller areolas?

Hello. Ive had 1 previous revision in which I got another benelli lift to reduce the circumference of my areolas. As expected, they stretched out again. I’m thinking of going in for a 2nd revision. My question is if downsizing my implants from 450CC to 400-375CC allow for a greater decrease of areola size with another benelli?Or will my areolas stretch out again? I was also thinking of switching to over the muscle since I have animation in one breast, could this possibly also give me more lift?

Making your implants smaller will not create a significant change in the ability to decrease the size of your areolas. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, the areolas can be reduced to the size you desire.

Breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

Going smaller may help the areolae since less weight will be present. You may loose some upper breast fullness placing the implant in front of the muscles and do risk more sagging over time because of less support.  Also, the animation may persists even with the implant in front of the muscle.  You actually may need a vertical lift to avoid overstressing the Benelli lift.  That lift is very limited in what actually can be done.
