I am 7mon post op. I have done some research and believe I have BAD , Breast Animation Deformity. I had 550cc mentor silicone implants done sub muscular. I wanted to show and see if I should have a revision or just live with it
Answer: It's an animation deformity Thank you for your question. You have breast animation deformity. You can live with it or you can consider revision surgery if you want improvement. Your breasts can be improved by removing the implants from the submuscular (dual plane) and inserting the implants into the subglandular or subfacial pocket. You might want to consider a fat graft simultaneously since the implants can be more palpable and more visible after the revision surgery.

Answer: Implants Placing the implants behind the muscle will give animation deformity, but with smaller implants it may be a little less noticeable. Moving the implants in front of the muscle may have more visible implant edge, less upper breast fullness, and less support over time. Plus, you still may see some animation deformity with the implants in front of the muscle since they were behind the muscle first and scar tissue is present. Most people do not notice this when you are wearing clothes.

Answer: Bottoming Out / Double Bubble / The Original Internal Bra Good afternoon, You have bottoming out with a double bubble and animation deformity, worse on one side, caused by overdissection of your pockets by your surgeon. You need the Original Internal Bra, my strong permanent internal suturing technique which corrects both bottoming out and double bubbles and the animation deformity and will provide excellent long term support. I first developed this technique over 20 years ago, and today it is the most common revision procedure I perform, at least 5-6 times a week- it works and it lasts.

Answer: Smaller implants You have animation deformity. I can see that your muscle was cut and has retracted up half the distance between the nipple and the fold. You will need smaller implants and surgical revision to correct the animation deformity. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: BA results Dear Adventurous465643, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
