It’s quite painful to move my arms and my right breast and armpit has a lot of burning sensation. The pec muscles feel very sore and tight. I’m presuming this is normal, but have read other people are much more comfortable by day 3. No redness or swelling or anything, just very painful. I wasn’t expecting the pain to get worse before better.
Answer: Post Op Pain Experience and Management Hi Clever cat, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing pain following your surgery. It is not uncommon to experience pain a few weeks after breast augmentation surgery. However, it would be best that you visit your plastic surgeon for proper assessment and intervention to lessen your discomfort, as every surgeon has different approaches in pain management. Answer: Pain following a Breast Augmentation Pain following surgery is to be expected but pain levels vary with every patient and is difficult to accurately measure. At day 3 it is not uncommon for patients to feel at their worst based on feedback from the patients at our practice. At this point in recovery all the anaesthetic has been eliminated from the body and you can start to feel quite sore and bruising may begin to surface as your body is in complete healing mode. What you have described sounds pretty normal but if you have any doubts, contact your surgical team to ensure that what you are experiencing is normal. By day 7 you should be feeling well enough to return to work or school and begin performing light duties.

Answer: Pain varies from person to person Alex. I appreciate your concern, however pain levels after breast augmentation varies significantly from one individual to the other. It is not uncommon to experience pain similar to yours and over the next several days it should start to improve. I like to use a muscle relaxer medication. right after surgery to allow the chest muscle to relax and this decreases pain as well. Check in with your plastic surgeon as a precaution to be sure you are healing all right. Best of luck.

Answer: Recovery after augmentation Healing and recovery is an individual process. Pain is perceived differently by different individuals. Nothing you have stated is abnormal, given your recent surgery. Your symptoms should improve over time. My recommendation at this point is to follow your surgeon's advice. Best of luck in your recovery.

Answer: What is normal post op pain 3 days post ba surgery? Hello and thank you for your question. It is definitely normal to be this sore after an augmentation with implants placed behind the muscle. Everyone has a different pain tolerance, it doesn't mean theres something wrong if you are hurting at day 3.
