Is it normal to have bruising at my back after mini TT and flanks lipo? (Photos)

Bruising of your back is absolutely expected after mini tummy tuck and liposuction of the flanks. It is mostly related to the liposuction and can actually get quite ‘colorful’. Blood tends to pool in the tissue after the fat is pulled out and it goes to the lowest point – worst in the low back from gravity in both the standing position and when lying on your back (as you are recommended to do after a TT and lipo). At first you will see purplish and red discoloration, but as it metabolizes and fades it may get green, then yellow and orange before back to normal. Don’t be alarmed…it is never permanent! 

It is possible after Lipo and tummy tuck to have bruising in these areas. Due to the gravity the edema can move down the body. I would follow this up with your initial surgeon.

It is normal to have bruising and swelling near the area where liposuction has been performed. However if its too tender and painful, kindly consult the surgeon who operated you. 

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Because liposuction can result in some bruising the blood can track with gravity down the sides and to your buttocks or legs.  This bruising should resolve over the next 2-3 weeks.  Hope this helps.

Yes bruising is common after liposuction. Arnica cream may help it resolve more quickly. Be sure to closely follow your surgeon's instructions and keep her/him informed of any concerns.

Yes, because you had liposuction, you will have bruising in that area and below. This is normal and expected and was discussed during your consultation.

This is a normal phenomenon following mini tummy tuck and lipo to the flanks. Best to see your PS if you are having any issues.. 

Bruising is common especially after any liposuction. Arnica Should help it subside and you can find this at most health food stores. I would recommend following up with your surgeon if you have any additional concerns.

Based on your photos and the procedures you had it is totally normal the bruising most of all on the areas you had liposuction. 
I recommend you contact your surgeon to talk about your concerns.
