I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your pictures and question.Although swelling IN the lips is common for a few days post injections to lips, your swelling is a bit unusual as it is quite outside the red lip and the white rolls (vermillion border). There is no concern about arterial injection yet it seems like you might need a dissolving agent.Best to visit your injector.Dr. Marc DuPere, aesthetic plastic surgeon
Lip filler can look funny 2 days later due to swelling and other factors. After lip injections we always suggest waiting 10-14 days to allow it to settle. Within reason, small issues tend to resolve as the filler tissue integrates. Your photos appear a little funny. Not dangerous like there’s a vascular occlusive event or an infection: just funny, like the filler was injected poorly. I would give it a few days. If not improving, then perhaps a dissolving injection is needed.
Thank you for your question. I would recommend following up with your injector about this swelling area. That does not appear to be normal swelling after lip filler injections. If need be you can dissolve that filler. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
I recommend you followup with your injector for in person examination. This does not look like the typical swelling after lip filler injections.
Your result is common with inexperienced tear trough injectors. they most likely used a “series technique” with a regular beveled sharp needle versus the cannula technique. They also placed TOO MUCH filler material. The fillers will resorb or go away but unfortunately not until up ...
Keep in mind, it takes a series of treatments to fully dissolve filler and it's difficult to determine how many treatments you would need. However, it should not cause problems long-term.
Hi @KrystalAvah. I would recommend waiting for the fungal infection to resolve prior to getting lip fillers. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
