I accidentally had blueberry juice 5 days before my operation. Is this safe or will my blood be thin?

Let your surgeon know but unless you consumed a very large amount it should be fine. Best of luck!

Blueberries are considered "super fruit" and even many call the "fruits of the 21st century" for its proven health benefits among which include antibiotic , antioxidant effect and anti-inflammatory ..Quiet your surgery will not affected..Look for a board certified plastic surgeon ...All the Best!! While it’s certainly true that many
naturopathic and homeopathic products such as Ginko, ginger, glucosamine and
antioxidant juices can affect platelet function and tint the blood excessively
leading to bruising or even a hematoma following surgery. A small and accidental amount of blueberry
juice injection is extremely unlikely to alter your coagulation profile.

I’d feel quite confident not being
concerned leading up to your surgery, but of course, if you’re having an
aneurysm clip this would be far more concerning than if you’re having cosmetic
plastic surgery. Please review with your
plastic surgeon to ensure they agree with this advice and I’m sure everything
will turn out well.
