Why do all hyaluronic acid fillers disappear within days of having them administered?

Why does any hyaluronic acid dermal filler that I've tried always dissapear within two to three days after being administered? I have tried different practitioners and different products. If more than 20cc is administered my face swells to proportions of deformation and then all is gone in a matter of days. If only a small amount it injected I don't swell, but the filler still dissapears within days.

This is difficult to answer without before and after pictures. Most likely, you had initial swelling, which was impacting your results and additional filler may be needed to get your desired results. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

HA fillers donot disappear post injection. The process of introducing a needle and injections repeatedly in one area usually causes swelling and even some bleeding. Furthermore one of the side effects of HA fillers is that they can cause edema which goes away in less than a week. At the end though the HA fillers will be where they were put in a few days post treatment.
