How much does full body liposuction cost? Is it better to go to the states?

I've been reading online about the prices of the procedures. I've been wanting to get liposuction done for a couple years now and I think I'll be ready to make a move in the next year (by 2016). I'm still not clear on if it's better to go to the states or to stay in Canada. I would love to get my back, stomach, thighs, neck, cheeks and arms. I would also like to do a fat transfer from my stomach to my butt.

Depending on your size and the amount of fat to be removed, it is likely that you will require a staged procedure. When having liposuction on multiple body parts I will typically break it up into a few usually two surgeries as we are limited by the amount of fat we can remove or the amount of lidocaine we can give someone. I am sure prices are competitive and as someone who has practiced in both I can only suggest to do your homework and see a few doctors who are board certified and specialize in liposuction and body contouring!

Prices will vary depending on the surgeon but in general the more areas you suction the less it costs per area on average. You also need to keep in mind that there is only so much liposuction that can safely be performed in one session before the risks outweigh the benefitiveIn terms of going to the states, while most board certified plastic surgeons will be safe from a surgical perspective, it is always better to have surgery near where you live to make sure you have easy access to your surgeon for follow up and in case there are any complications that need to be managed. Once you factor in travel expenses and the exchange rate you are unlikely to save much money by going to the US anyways.The best thing you can do is get a consultation with a royal college certified plastic surgeon near you, either myself or one of my colleagues, in order to have a formal assessment and get specific pricing.
