Fixing a dropped tip after rhinoplasty?

Question

Has anyone had a rhinoplasty and had their tip drop more than expected? It's been two years and my nose after 6 months till now has stayed this way. I really do not wanna go through another surgery, is there anything that can possibly raise the tip of my nose slightly? I am really dissappointed my tip has dropped. If any doctors in Toronto can fix this please respond because I am looking to fix it right away.

You didn't send any photos, but there's really no way to get the tip up without another operation.I can give you some useful information, though. First of all, see the "Web reference" link, just below my response. It contains an important discussion of how to determine whether you should allow your primary surgeon to do your revision. Revision operations are much much more difficult than primaries, and you don't want to have another operation, have the tip still be too low, and find yourself looking for a third operation. That would be awful.Next, don't let anyone talk you into a "tiny" operation to raise the tip just a little. It almost never works, and once again, you're waiting a year for things to heal and looking for a third operation.Finally, don't have any operation to change the nose only a tiny amount. Revisions work better if we are seeking a more significant change.

A drop in the nasal tip can only be permanently improved with help of cartilaginous grafting and other rhinoplasty techniques.  If you do not wish to undergo any further surgery then the only option would be to use a hyaluronic acid filler in the nasal tip for mild elevation.RegardsDr. J

A revision rhinoplasty more than likely is the way to go to improve the tip position if you feel that it has dropped.
