Blood clots. I've tried sneezing them out and it's not working. What else can I do?

I had serto/rhinoplasty surgery 5 weeks ago, but I still have very hard blood clots on my right side I saw my dr a week ago he said put Vaseline on q-tip then blow them out. I've been doing this and it's not working I've tried sneezing them out that's not working, what else can I do? It's putting pressure on my nose and it hurts

I would irrigate with a Neti pot 2 times a day to help remove the clotted blood in the nose after a rhinoplasty.  Additionally, I would have the surgeon remove the clots in the office if they are unable to be removed with a neti pot.  I would only use distilled water during the nasal irrigation.  I hope this helps.

Sometimes moisture after a shower helps loosen them up a bit. I would stick with your doctor's instructions.  Good luck.

You may try Vaseline or bacitracin 4 times a day for 10 days. You don't have to blow your nose after you apply it. If that is unsuccessful, follow up with your surgeon

There are saline sprays that could be used for that. Use them 3 times a day , you should be fine with that. Dont worry too muchDr Hernandez
