How long would it take to get a nose job?

How long does it usually take to get to a doctor and that can give a nose job? You know? To schedule everything out? In the Louisiana area. I'm ready to get rid of this nose and cannot wait any longer.

Typically an office consult is  need for an examination and discussion regarding your goals for rhinoplasty.  video imaging and photo reviews are important, as both help firm up exactly the type of rhinoplasty you desire, and also what can be realistically done.  Surgery is usually performed as an outpatient, and a cast is worn for about 1 week.  Hope this helps

I would suggest visiting with a plastic or facial plastic surgeon to review your concerns. An in person exam can help to establish some (realistic) goals for surgery and outcome. Surgery is not something that you want to "rush" in to.  Our goal is to see new consults within a week's time.  Part of your consultation will be reviewing your medical history.  Sometimes medical conditions or medications/ herbs that you may be taking or smoking status will be the major factor(s) driving the timing of your surgery.Good luck!

It is very important to choose your surgeon very wisely based on extensive experience, because rhinoplasty is one of the hardest operations to perform in the  entire field of cosmetic surgery. Take the time to choose the right surgeon for the right reasons.  It will take a few weeks to make appointments with 3 busy rhinoplasty surgeons in your area, and then undergo the procedure within the following month

Once you're seen by the surgeon, it's probably in the neighborhood of about a month to have the procedure, but it's different for every practice.By the way, a rhinoplasty is the last thing you want to be in a rush to find someone to do. Don't do it unless you know the surgeon is capable of handling intraoperative surprises and can give you a great result.

Rhinoplasty surgery takes some surgeons several hours to perform and, if they are busy, they won't have that large of an opening in their schedules for quite a while.  Depending on the type of rhinoplasty, which can only be judged with a personal consultation, I can usually get this type of procedure booked within a few weeks.  I am able to do them faster and we own our own facility, both of which gives me more flexibility with booking of cases.

Thank you for your question! Truthfully, it depends on the surgeon.  How many days he/she has set aside for surgery days, what they have available, how soon you can get in for a consultation. What will really help speed up your process is having everything you can control in order before you see the doctor for consultation. What I mean by this- do you have some dates in mind of when you want to have the surgery?  Have you already checked your work calendar (if you work outside the home)? Do you have assistance lined up if you will need it? Also financing.  This can be a source of disappointment if you have not checked into it before consultation. I suggest you call your preferred surgeon, find out how they finance and complete whatever paperwork/process before going to your consultation.  Best of luck to you.

Schedule an in person evaluation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon.  Waiting time will vary from office to office due to vacation schedules of the surgeon, among other things.  Hopefully, you can have surgery within 2 to 3 months.
