Can your body bounce back after breast implant removal? (photos)

It appears that your right breast has greater capsular contracture with your implant moved up and the skin stretched primarily on the top of the breast under the pectoralis major muscle. Your breast tissue behind your nipple areolar complex and below your nipples do not appear to be stretched. These observations all bode well for your skin bouncing back quickly after explantation. Besides, you only had the implants for one year and you did not have particularly big implants. Therefore, I believe that both your skin and muscle should return to normal very quickly after explantation.

When implants are removed, breasts often return to their starting size (or close to it), much like a woman’s stretched belly will generally go back to its original size after childbirth. The more elastic the skin, the greater the likelihood that it will shrink back to normal after it has been stretched. As a fit, young woman, you should expect good results.

You will be pleasantly surprised how much you skin contracts after implant removal. Do not be swayed to get a lift or anything else done to your breasts for that matter.  You need to be patient. When your implants are removed your skin will retract to a degree. It will be influenced by a number of factors including the size of the implants, the length of time they were in, and your genetics. Your surgeon will let you know what you can expect after an evaluation. Looking at the provided photo and taking into account the provided information you will likely have some retraction but may have some looseness to the skin once fully healed.

a significant size change like going from an A cup to a C, it typically means
that a breast lift is needed on top of the implant removal to ensure the best
final results. The skin and tissue of your breasts have stretched out over the
past year you’ve had your implants, so removing them can result in a deflated
breast appearance. When your implants are removed, reshaping the breast tissue
and removing any excess skin can give you a natural, flattering look after
implant explantation.

Your picture shows that you are young, in good shape, with minor asymmetry of nipple position with an implant that, at least on your right, is high. If you wish to remove your implant for lifestyle reasons, I expect your breasts will settle quite well without need for other procedures with time. If you are looking for more breast mounds than you had before, if you have fat for transfer, auto-augmentation with your own fat may be an option to consider. Good Luck.

Once implants are in they stretch out the tissues. There are multiple variables that impact the response the tissues have to removal of the implants.
