Bathing suit, no wires 2 weeks after explant?

Question

I will be 2 weeks post op of 10th month old implants, sub muscular, no drains, capsule NOT removed. I will be on vacation and am wondering if I will need to be 24/7 in a sports bra or can I also wear a bathing suit (no wire). My PS knows I'm going on vacation and he felt it would be ok, just looking for other opinions. thanks!

A normal swimsuit would probably be ok but you should confirm with your surgeon.  You should also discuss incision healing status and whether he/she is ok with you going in the water.

Dear eastcoastsavvy,Thank you for your question. Be sure and check with your plastic surgeon who knows you the best. I would not think that there would be any problem wearing whatever bra or bathing suit that is comfortable - including underwires. If you are being very active then it would be best to be in a sports-type bra for good support  to lower the incidence of fluid collection in the old implant pocket. Otherwise, enjoy your vacation.Best wishes.
