I have had fillers injected and dissolved for years. Now they are uneven and downturned. I’m considering dissolving any remaining filler, doing a lip lift, and adding a conservative amount of filler. Botox lip flip didn’t work for me. Are there any other solutions?
Answer: These lips are consistent with injection with silicone oil. I am not saying that you do not have hyaluronic acid filler but this looks like more than just prior hyaluronic acid filler services gone bad. I would remove whatever volume that can be removed with hyaluronic acid filler. Whatever volume that does not respond to a significant and large dose of hyaluronidase, is caused by some other filler. If you have not had grafted fat, the are several other possibilities. Do you have medical records of these services? Were they done by doctors? Were you ever treated in nonmedical settings? Best.

Answer: Lip lift after filler Hello, great question, I see this often …. It appears there has been a lot of cumulative filler. Dissolving this would take more than one session from my experience. Maybe 2, 3 sometimes more depending on the type of filler used. Only then will you have a good idea of what level of asymmetry you have and how much down turn there is of the corners. The fullness of the lips, especially the top one can exaggerate this. A lip lift is a great procedure if done correctly. It can improve asymmetry of the peaks to a degree, but the outer parts of lip are harder to influence. This is especially true when the nose is relatively narrow to the width of the mouth. A lateral lip lift with a corner elevation can be used in combination with a subnasal lip lift top elevate the corners and sides. I would first work on dissolving to lips, then having a consultation with a surgeon experienced with quality lip lifts. Good luck!

Answer: Lip Answers Hello, hope you are well. I think you need to start by getting back to a natural appearance as best you can by removing filler material before considering a lip lift. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, but not other materials--namely silicone. Silicone material can be removed with lip reduction surgery. Once your prior lip augmentations have been reversed, a lip lift can still be considered if needed, but that's anyone's guess because the shape of your lips appears very distorted from prior procedures. Wishing you the best of luck Best,Dr. Tower

Answer: Lip lift The corners of your lips are down. You would benefit from a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
