Am I a good candidate for a lip lift? (Photo)

Based on these photos, you would be a borderline candidate for a lip lift in my practice, but we can't see your whole face or really make a fair assessment without seeing you in person. I'm surprised no one has offered this to you, but you can still undergo lip augmentation (with implants or by other methods). Lip augmentation and a lip lift are very different things, and not interchangeable by any means, although often performed together in my practice. (It would be like needing cheek implants, but then settling for a facelift instead). Tissue grafting is a great alternative to implants or filler.

Based on your photos, you are a candidate for a lip lift if your lip measures greater than 13 mm. The procedure will diminish the distance between your lip and nose and expose more upper teeth.

A lip lift is a great procedure for the right candidates, but it does more than just volumize the upper lip. In fact the amount of volume added to the upper lip is not as much as you would think. The way a lip lift enhances the aesthetics of the central face is by decreasing the amount of skin between the nose and lip, thus improving aesthetic proportions in many cases. It also allows for more tooth show, and enhances the shape of the lip itself. Based on these photos it is likely you would be a candidate for a mild to moderate lip lift. It will make increase your top lip volume, but shouldn't be to a point where the top is much larger than the bottom. On another note, you shouldn't have to get lip fillers every few months. Duration varies based on the type of filler and patient, but in the last several years, my patients have been satisfied for 9 months to 1 year. If filler is totally out of the question, you can also consider fat. There are many nuances to all this but I hope this helps give you an idea of what to research. Good luck!

Eptfe lip implants are the very best of the lip implants in my opinion since they are the softest and most natural looking of the regular 3 implants for the lips. Cost is $3000 per implant average and is done under local.

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You would be a candidate for a lip lift.
