Can I get thigh lift after liposuction?

This is not an uncommon request; many patients have thigh liposuction and return for a thigh lift. During a thigh lift, excess inner thigh skin is removed; this can either be done through a crescent incision or an incision from the groin to the knee. The crescent incision is also called a mini thigh lift. The incision from the groin to the knee is also called a full thigh lift, thigh reduction, or thigh plasty. It seems like you have extensive skin laxity which can be treated with a thigh lift.

If the area of concern is in the inner thigh region then you may benefit either from a short or a long scar medial thigh lifts.

However if the front, side and back of the thighs are of concern as well then you may also require a circumferential body lift in conjunction .

I perform numerous body lifts on massive weight loss patients as well as patients such as you who were not responsive  to aggressive liposuction.

It sounds like a medial thigh lift is your only option.  The fact that your skin wasn't great to begin with and a large volume of fat was removed, means that loose sagging skin was probably the expected result.  Possibility of needing a thigh lift afterwards should have been discussed.

Large volume liposuction can be helpful in thigh contouring prior to a medial or extended thighplasty.  You should consult with a surgeon experienced in body contouring after significant weight loss with thigh lifting experience.   If the suction was too aggressive it can lead to scarring that prevents tightening of the skin.  Only physical examination can effectively answer this question.  Best wishes on your recovery.  All the best.

Thank you for the question. I would like to give you specific advice but it is difficult without a photo. 

In cases similar to yours there are two kinds of thigh lifts that I perform depending on where the skin excess is. Either a transvers lift with the scar along the panty line or a vertical lift where the scar goes straight down to just above the knee. 

I would recommend seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to get a more detailed consultation.

Yes, it sounds like you need a thigh lift.  Think of liposuction similar to weight loss. When you deflate the skin, either way, you will have lax skin.

Very often in the inner thigh area aggressive liposuction can leave one with loose and saggy skin. An inner thigh lift is the only solution when this occurs as it removes excess skin and tightens the upper inner thigh area.

I have seen numerous patients with thigh issues.  Some need both debullking as well as a skin excision. Most patients do not want the scars from a thigh lift as well.If the patient is "borderline" and goes with liposuction, this often requires skin excision at a later time.  But it does depend upon the patient and the quality of the tissues and the volume of fat.

An inner thigh lift is a standard plastic surgical procedure.  If you are looking for a surgeon in your area ask friends, relatives and trusted physicians for recommendations.
