The biggest problem with skin quality and revision rhinoplasty surgery is skin thickness. People who have very thin nasal skin tend to show more irregularities through their thin skin after rhinoplasty surgery and revision rhinoplasty surgery. To my knowledge, there are no treatments to improve upon nasal skin thickness. I hope this helps, and thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello and thank you for your question. There are not too many proven things you can do prior to surgery. However, during your surgery a mastoid fascia tip graft can definitely help treat thin skin and camouflage the tip. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. It would be helpful to post a full set of facial photographs, all angles to make a determination about how best to proceed. Your second surgeon would also need to look at a copy of the operative report to see what was accomplished in the first procedure. All of the suggestions you posted in your question are useless. During the procedure itself, you can have your rhinoplasty specialist harvest piece of temporalis fascia, and lay that across your nasal tip help camouflage your nasal tip cartilages or previous grafts and irregularities you have with thin skin.
