Answer: Breast augmentation for tubular breast deformity Tubular breast deformity involves a sequence of breast changes that alter the shape involving the underlying breast tissue and nipple. There are varying degrees of deformity as well. There are many options depending on the goals of the patient as well as the degree of deformity. In general I find the use of anatomically shaped implants to be a significant factor in improving outcomes for tubular breast deformity. Take care

Answer: Choose your surgeon wisely to get the best outcome There is not much to be gained by labeling someone with tuberous breasts. An operative plan should be developed based on your anatomy. Whether that is breast implantation, lift or reduction, symmetrization or some combination of procedures, there is no particular point in stigmatizing your breast shape. A properly trained, skilled and ethical plastic surgeon can develop a plan based on your anatomy and give you the outcome that you desire. I see absolutely no point in diagnosing someone with tuberous breasts or restricted base deformity. Stigmatizing a young person can have an effect on the way they perceive the outcome, even if it is outstanding. The first thing you should do is check the ASPS website for a list of doctors in your area. Then look at online reviews. Check the surgeon's website. Look at their results. Ask around to see if you have any personal references, these can be very helpful. Once you have screened the doctor, meet with them. If they are professional and sincere, educated and experienced, if they listen to your concerns and develop a plan which fits with your goals, you have found a good match.

Answer: Who is a Tubular Breast deformity specialist in Louisiana? I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. In your case, it will be important that your chosen plastic surgeon has a significant experience helping patients with tuberous/constricted breasts achieve the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. You may find the attached link, dedicated to corrective surgery for tuberous/constricted breast patients helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.
