if diet and exercise have not been successful for you, then the only way to truly correct a loose, weak abdomen after having children is with a tummy tuck. You should see a board certified plastic surgeon for a face to face consultation and to discuss your surgical options.
Hard to answer without a photo but typically if you have a large amount of extra skin only a tummy tuck would remove it.
Excess loose abdominal skin in the presence of an distended abdominal wall is typically improved with abdominoplasty. It there is an isolated region of loose abdominal skin, nonsurgical skin tightening treatements by devices such as Venus Freeze may be an option. It is recommended to be evaluated by a plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
Hello and thank you for your question.Unfortunately ifyou are like many women who are left with excess sagging skin and fat aftergiving birth or having lost a significant amount of weight, the only way to getrid of it is with excision of the excess skin and fat (with a tummy tuck). I recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon inconsultation to get more specific answers to your questions which can best beaddressed after a thorough history and examination is performed.Best of luck to you
Unfortunately, the only way to lose it is to have a tummy tuck. The non-invasive methods will not work except in patients with a minimal pouch---and if it was that minimal, most patients would live with it. See a board certified plastic surgeon to explore the range of tummy tuck options and which one would be most appropriate for you.
Unfortunately at this time the only way to get rid of that kangaroo pouch is with some type of tummy tuck. This may include the full tummy tuck, a non muscle tighteneing tummy tuck or just a simple removal of skin from the lower belly(panniculectomy). Best determined by evaluataion.
The short answer is no. But sometimes it is possible to get improvement with either Laser (Smartlipo) or Vaser (Ultrasonic) liposuction. It depends on the severity of the problem. There are people that do not have a significant amount of fat or looseness of the muscles. In these people, a simple skin excision (Abdominal Dermolipectomy) may solve the problem. In other words you may not need a full tummy tuck to correct the problem.Good LuckSaeed Marefat, MD
A photo and a little more explanation would be helpful, but chances are a TT will be the best solution. A consultation with a plastic surgeon will help sort out the options. All the best.
Thank you for your question. Photographs would be helpful. However if you have a significant pouch of loose skin on the lower portion of your tummy, a Tummy Tuck is most likely needed to remove it.be sure to consult a plastic surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, experienced, and has an excellent reputation in your community.
A "Kangaroo pouch" is simply another way of saying that you have significant excess skin on the abdomen. Unfortunately, there is no way to shrink this skin other than to remove it. This requires an abdominoplasty. Seek a plastic surgeon with significant experience.
Yes, itching is very common in healing wounds. There are histamines that are released that cause itching and that is why we take anti-histamines. I would not worry about it because it will resolve with time.
I agree with the other doctors who have responded so far.You can't just leave it there. It could get infected and cause a problem.Maybe a friend or family member can get it out with a flashlight and tweezers. Is this possible? If not, see your doctor for appropriate treatment. An outpatient...
I am not familiar with the specific requirement of the NHS but I will tell you what is required in the US.In general, insurance companies will only pay for a panniculectomy (a tummy tuck minus muscle tightening and no lipo) if you have functional problems associated with your stomach. These...
