Itching in the TT scar area?

I got my TT 4 weeks ago and just started applying scaraway silicone sheets and am experiencing lots of itching only when I apply them to my scar area, is this normal?

Since the itching only ocurrs after you apply the strips and where you apply the strips I would stop using them since you may be allergic to them.

Yes, itching is very common in healing wounds. There are histamines that are released that cause itching and that is why we take anti-histamines. I would not worry about it because it will resolve with time.

Hello!! If you are experiencing an itching sensation only after applying the silicone sheets, then you might been have an allergic reaction to the sheets. It is important to show your PS and he can probably recommend another product. If you ever apply something to the skin and you get a negative reaction or sensation, it means that your skin does not accept the product and can cause a reaction.

Thank you for your question.  Be sure to consult a plastic surgeon regarding the itching of your tummy tuck incision.  However the fact that the itching happens when you apply silicone sheeting suggest that you may be allergic or have an irritation caused by the silicone.It is best that you consult a plastic surgeon for advice
