I was born was asymmetry in my nose. The left side of my nose has more tissue than the right side. I don't know if that contributed to the asymmetry. But it seems like the right side is shifted to the left big time. What would be the best way to get my nose as symmetrical as possible?
Answer: Asymmetric nostrils Facial asymmetry is everywhere... if you look closely for it.If the asymmetry is not out of specification, there is no reason to 'fix' it. Some things are better left alone.Surgery, however clever, will leave some tracks behind, some evidence surgery has been done. This is particularly true about nostril modification.Well designed surgery should always have more plusses than minuses, so make sure you are aware of all the downsides before you proceed.

Answer: Asymmetrical Nostrils Of course it depends on a patient’s specific circumstances, but typically an asymmetrical excision can be performed to even up the nostril size.

Answer: What's the best way to fix asymmetrical nostrils? I am not sure that a rhinoplasty would improve the symmetry greatly, but I may have a different opinion after an exam.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Rhinoplasty asymmetry in the thin skinned nose. . Rhinoplasty asymmetry in the thin skinned nose requires a VERY experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who knows how to do what is needed without letting it show. I often see noses like this that have been done that show every "nook and cranny".

Answer: Your asymmetrical nosrils From the picture you submitted it appears that the asymmetry you are concerned with is essentially due to asymmetrical development of your lower lateral(alar) cartilages.. The lower laterals with their medial crura contribute to the size and shape of the nostrils and any gross deformity of it is easily noticeable..They also tend to get thicker and larger with advancing age contributing to hard bulbous tip in older men. Your problem may be solved by a properly performed tip rhinoplasty.
