It's been exactly 2 weeks since my lower facelift; I've been healing quite well except for under my chin where there is a one inch scar that is pink and raised. I'm wondering if it's a Keloid and if it will flatten out and get paler eventually??

Answer: Chin incision Thank you for your picture. Your scar is typical for two weeks after surgery. Actually looks like it's doing rather well. This will heal and flatten out over the next 3 to 6 months. Please keep close follow-up with your plastic surgeon if you have any further concerns.

Answer: Chin scar after facelift Your scar looks completely normal. As you heal it will get less red, and will start to flatten out. If for some reason it gets firm or raised, your surgeon will have things they can do to help it along, such as steroid injections, laser etc. But this area normally heals quite well, so just give it time.
