I’ve been receiving Dysport injections every 6 months to treat a vertical brow furrow that had just begun to appear in my early 30s. Over the past year, I’ve noticed this weird raised area between my brows. It was there before and after my most recent dysport treatment and I’m not sure if it’s related or not. It’s as if the muscle is sitting higher just between my eyes and casts a shadow in that spot.
Answer: Dyport This can happen when more Dysport is needed in the glabellar area. I would see your injector and show them what is bothering you. A few more units in the correct placement will settle this unopposed muscle.Best, Dr P

Answer: Raised area between eyebrows with dysport treatment It is difficult to tell based on your pictures, but it would be best to discuss this issue with your injector. This raised area is definitely not the result of dysport treatments - it might actually just require more dysport or dysport injected into a different area to correct it. Your injector needs to assess your dynamic muscle motion to determine what areas would benefit from additional dysport. In rare cases, filler is placed in this area, but make sure you go to an experienced injector because this is a tricky and potentially dangerous area to fill. Answer: Can Dysport Cause a Bump Between the Eyes? You have a subtle lump in the glabella (area between the eyes). I doubt that it is related to Dysport, although there is a simple way to find out. If it is an untreated procerus muscle (vertical muscle that cause horizontal creases at the nasal bridge), then squinting your eyes together will make the bump contract. In this case, you can ask your injector to treat the procerus (in addition to the corrugator muscles--the ones that cause the 11's).If squinting leaves the bump unchanged, then it is more likely to be a small tumor (lipoma) or growth of the underlying bone.

Answer: Raised areas between the eyebrows after Dysport It is difficult to assess this without seeing and feeling the raised area, but based on your photos, the outline of the raised area between your eyebrows correlates with distribution of the procerus muscle, which is responsible for the horizontal crease at the bridge of your nose when you frown. By blocking muscle action with Dysport or Botox, muscles will become smaller over time. Depending on how your Dysport was distributed its possible that your procerus muscle was not blocked as well as your other frown muscles. As a result, your procerus could be comparatively stronger/larger compared to the other frown muscles. You might discuss this with your injector and see if some additional Dysport could address the issue, but it could take some time for the muscles to even out. I would also make sure a physician assesses the area for any underlying growths like lipomas or osteomas that could cause a raised area on the forehead.
