The smile should be coming back just around end of February/ March. You should do a lot of smiling to activate the paralyzed muscles faster. RegardsDr. J

I'm sorry for your experience. injections of Dysport into the lower face require an expert injector and are more complicated to perform than the upper face. Unpredictable results can happen to anyone, even the most experienced providers, and then it comes down to knowing how to fix them. Unfortunately, it looks like your result came from Dysport affecting more muscles than just the massseter on your left side and hence the uneven smile. There is no quick fix here and nothing to speed it up. The duration varies from person to person, but on average, it should start getting better in 1 month and might take up to 6 months to go away. The good thing is that it's not permanent, the bad thing is that you are getting married in 2 months, which is not bought time for the results to wear off. Your only option are either to wait it out or have more Dysport injected to the other side, to try to even it out. Best of luck, Dr.Avaliani

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your Dysport treatment. Fortunately the effects that concern you are temporary. The treatment results will gradually fade over the next 3 to 4 months.

It takes 3 - 5 months for Dysport to lose its effect. You can try to speed up the process by actively smiling and contracting those muscles. Confirm with your doctor that it is in fact the dysport, as this is not a common reaction.

Unfortunately, once injected there is not much you can do except let the Dysport naturally wear off.  Luckily, this takes about 3-4 months so you should have your smile back by the time of your wedding.  Additionally, your range of motion will increase gradually over time as the Dysport wears off.

It sounds as though you may have had too much product around your mouth area all at once. At our clinic, we advise staggering areas around the mouth so it doesn’t all kick in at once. If you are getting married in March and your treatment was in December, you should have your normal smile back by then, as the product generally lasts approximately 3-4 months.

Thank you for your question and photos, I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with Dysport. The results of Dysport last approximately 3 months. Injecting neuromodulators into the lower face is more advanced and should be done by an injector with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy.
