30 units of Dysport in my forehead. How long for the brow ptosis to wear off?

Dysport results can last up to 3-4 months, depending on patients. As time passes, you may feel that the heaviness on your brows and forehead should begin to subside within the second to third week. Choosing the appropriate dose and placement of injections varies from patient to patient which is why it is very important to choose a well trained provider specifically a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having from your Dysport treatment. The drooping should begin to improve after about 6 weeks with complete resolution by 3-4 months. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation so that any future adjustments can be made.

Yes, 60 units is a lot.  It is appropriate in some patients, though 25 units is a more typical dose.  What are your options?1. Do nothing.  The Dysport will wear off.  Although the muscle-weakening effects will last about 3 to 4 months, the drooping will probably improve within 6 weeks.  2. Add Botox or Dysport to the glabella (between the eyes) and possibly the crows feet.  Injecting these muscles tends to elevate the brows, counteracting some of the adverse effects of the Dysport in the forehead.

Did you have your glabellar (frown) treated at the same time as your forehead? We recommend treating the glabellar when treating the forehead as it helps to provide a lift and reduces the risk of drooping.
We would recommend you return to the clinic where you had your treatment as there are some techniques which can help reduce a ptosis.

However, you may notice the brow ptosis wearing off a little sooner than that, possibly 6 weeks depending on the dosage. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting.
