I currently have 440cc silicone under the muscle. They are about 8 years old now. I feel they are a bit heavy with slight droop and wish they naturally sat up perky. They look natural but they are not as high as they used to be. I have seen other women who have the mesh bra with implants and the implants sit up perfectly without sagging. Whenever I do get replacement implants I was wondering about the mesh bra included. Is the mesh bra with implants worth it? Please let me know your thoughts.
Answer: Breast implants Using a mesh “bra” Is quite popular these days. Whether you need it will often depend on whom you ask. Some surgeons use it commonly and others rarely. Their use is fairly recent so who knows what the long term results are

Answer: Mesh bra The internal bra with mesh is useful for women whose tissue is stretched and weak and does not support the weight of implants. If you are sagging now, you could consider going down in size and possibly adding the mesh. Don't go larger or you will sag again.

Answer: Internal bra technique Hello and thank you for your question. The "internal bra" technique uses a piece of absorbable mesh or scaffold which absorbs over a period of 1-2 years and stimulates your body to grow more collagen in its place to provide more strength over time. This mesh is usually made from the same material as the absorbable sutures which are commonly used in surgery. In my opinion, this technique is particularly helpful in patients who have had bariatric surgery/massive weight loss and have weaker tissues at baseline. They are more prone to recurrent droopiness/sagging earlier. This technique may also be helpful for revision cases that in which the surgeon deems it necessary to have further support for the natural breast tissues/implant beyond what traditional lift/tightening techniques are able to provide. This will be different for every patient and each surgeon. Every surgery has risks and benefits to discuss, and you may be able to have a great result without the added cost of using this material. The best way to determine if this is right for you is to have an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck on your journey!

Answer: Revision surgery Dear sb262017,breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
