Suffering from muscle spasms 2 years after tummy tuck revision. What are my options?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having since your revision. At this point I recommend seeking assistance from a neurologist or other specialist to address your concerns. She/He can work together with your surgeon when necessary to help you.

I would love to read the operative report for your revision abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck) procedure. If the muscles were sutured, then possibly re-suturing the muscles may eliminate the cause.

Medical problems need to be separated into medical and surgical problems. Despite the fact that your problems began after having a surgical procedure, muscle spasms are not a surgical problem. Don’t expect plastic surgeons to have any expertise in managing muscle spasms even if they happened after a surgical procedure. I suggest consulting with doctors of other medical specialties, such a neurologist, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or a pain management specialist.
There really isn’t much plastic surgeons can do because your condition is no longer a plastic surgery related problem(meaning that muscle spasms are not treated with plastic surgery procedures).
