My PS says I hold the record. I feel like my stomach isn't as flat as I was expecting, so every time I get out of my Spanx in the evening (I feel a roundness in the upper rib area), so I put the binder on, and then sleep in it. But my husband's getting a little sick of it at night time. It's definitely not sexy! Please help me get away from the binder. I'm afraid I'm going to wake up in the morning and be extra round. I've never gone throughout the day without a spanx tank top on either.

Answer: Tummy tuck Sorry to hear about your problem. At one year all the swelling should have resolved and in my opinion there is no use wearing compression garments. Without a photo it is hard to tell, but your problem is commonly due to inadequate liposuction/and or muscle tightening performed to the upper abdomen. In the traditional way of doing tummy tucks, a lot of tissue release happens and this decreases blood flow; aggressive liposuction to the upper abdomen further reduces blood flow and there is risk of losing skin. Hence, upper abdominal liposuction is not performed by most surgeons. I do my tummy tucks very differently and this technique preserves blood flow; hence, I routinely do upper abdominal liposuction as well in all patients. A photo will be very helpful!

Answer: Tummy Tuck/Abdominoplasty/Liposuction/High Definition Procedures/Tummy Tuck Revision I appreciate your question. Without pictures, difficult to comment. I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time. He/she can perhaps recommend a different type of garment for you. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck!
