Is it possible to get alar wedge excision to reduce the flare?

Hello, i had an alarplasty last year, only for nostrils (Without wedge excision), but i still have obvious flaring alar, is it possible to get alar wedge excision (without nostrils excision) to reduce the flare?

Yes, it is possible to reduce nostril flare without excising nasal floor. If the nostrils still seem flared to you, a wedge can be removed only from the lateral nasal walls to correct this.

I perform wedge excisions commonly. It can be done under local anesthesia.,just realize that many plastic surgeons either don’t like doing them or are too conservative

To make a determination about whether your candidate for an alar wedge excision, a set of photos looking up your nostrils will be necessary, especially since you already had some type of alar-plasty already. If you are a candidate, the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure
