The corners of my lips are uneven when I smile and when I just close my mouth. I want to know does this need to be fixed with lip injections or something or is it a result of my teeth and jaw issues?
Answer: Please note that the doctors recommending fillers are showing abnormally full lips. I agree that consulting your orthodontist is an appropriate option. If you have not seen an orthodontist, talk with your general dentist. The shape of jaw and maxilla are the likely basis of this asymmetry. If you decide not to have your bones reshaped, appropriate volume in the lip with the right filler is very helpful not a first line option for this.

Answer: What Can Be Done for Uneven Lips? Botox and Fillers Correct Asymmetry First, talk to your orthodontist or family physician about your dental and jaw issues. Perhaps there is a physical problem that’s causing your lips to be uneven. However, asymmetry is natural in the face. If you still want to make your lips match each other better, this can probably be achieved with a little bit of Botox to relax your overactive mouth corner and perhaps a dermal filler such as Volbella, which looks very natural, to even out your lips. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will help you decide what you want to do; if you are under 18 you will need your parents’ permission.

Answer: Correcting Uneven Lips Hi and thank you for your question! While no face is completely symmetrical and we all have some levels of asymmetry in our face and body, we can correct unevenness of lips and mouth with careful injection of fillers into the lips as well as Botox on the corners of mouth. I hope it helps and good luck!

Answer: Lip Asymmetry molly42. Not sure, if you have teeth or jaw issues, but you may consult with your dentist. Your asymmetry is mild so correction must be done with great care. I recommend correction with a filler like Juvederm Ultra plus by an experienced injector very conservatively because over correction will cause another asymmetry. If you like the result, then you can consider fat transfer for a longer lasting result. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist with lots of experience treating lips. Good luck!
