Thank you for your question. Yes, it is normal to feel lumpiness after Voluma injetions. You should remain patient during your recovery period and consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your Voluma treatment! It is normal in the first few days after injection to feel some subtle lumps and bumps underneath your skin. As Voluma absorbs water and softens, it will smooth and no longer be felt. Hope this helps.
Yes, you can have some lumps and/or swelling after your injection, which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. You just had the injections yesterday, I would not panic. It is normal to feel some lumpiness after the injections, if it lasts longer than a week I would contact your injector. Good luck.
Yes. It is completely normal to feel lumps or bumps following any injectable procedure. It typically takes 2 weeks for them to disappear although every patient heals at her own rate. Be patient. These will resolve.
This is a great question! It's completely normal to feel slight lumpiness under the skin immediately after filler injections. As the Voluma absorbs water, it should gradually soften and lumps should no longer be apparent. This process can take up to 10-14 days for some patients. I would recommend that you schedule a follow-up appointment with your provider if the lumps persist for more than two weeks or so - if so, your provider should be able to gently massage the Voluma in your chin to better blend it out.
Not to worry, this is completely normal - the important part is that you only feel and do not see them. The lumps and bumps will begin to soften and dissipate as the filler continues to absorb water - this just takes a little time. You should see the final results of the procedure within a week to two weeks. If you wanted to come back in for any touch up or potentially additional injections, I would always advise waiting two weeks for the full result as residual swelling can last this long.
Lumpiness after chin injection can occur. Gentle massage might help. Your final result is in about 10 days. At that point, discuss with your provider if still concerned.
Chin augmentation Thanks for your question. Fillers can improve the projection and width in the chin, but is less effective in increasing vertical height. Furthermore, the results obtained with implants are generally more dramatic than those obtained with filler alone.
Hi justmeeexd,Thanks for your question! In my San Francisco office I use the microcanula almost exclusively. It greatly reduces bruising, makes the injections safer, and increases my control of where I place the fillers. That being said, sometimes in the chin area I will use a needle to p...
"A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the...
