What’s wrong with my breast implants? What could be done? (Photo)

Question

Almost two years ago I had breast augmentation . I requested smaller implants under the muscle but the doctor gave me large implants above the muscle . They are silicone implants and the right breast has a larger implant ( about 80cc more). My right breast looks like a V shape. I can feel breast tissue at bottom ( it’s breast tissue according to mammogram). Why my breasts look so horrible ? And uneven? What could be done ? Thanks

If you look carefully, your v shaped breast also has more upper pole fullness, an important clue to what  may be the issue. Without an examination nothing conclusive can be said, but I believe you have capsular contracture, the most common complication of breast augmentation, and seen more frequently in persons with implants over the muscle and with periareolar incisions.

You can have the implants placed under the muscle and the lower edge V shape corrected if you desire. Pretty simple to do this but I think implant size is fine

You might consider going somewhat smaller and placing the implants behind the muscle. The lower pocket can be enlarged to give a better rounded shape.

Your breasts are large, but they are attractive. Minor asymmetry is normal. They sit normally low so only a small portion is covered by muscle.

Preop photos with aid in our discussion of your present breast shape. Your right breast certainly hangs more laterally as that’s how your anatomy of your chest is formed. The right breast would certainly improve with a periareolar left which would tighten the skin, round the breast and alleviate some of that V-shape at the bottom.
