Depending on the type of facelift that was performed (and by who), can vary the duration of the effect. I recommend seeing a board-eligible or board-certified ACTUAL plastic surgeon with at least 6 years of integrated plastic surgery training (ideally followed by an aesthetic fellowship accredited by The Aesthetic Society).

Facial aging will continue to occur following surgery. Maintenance including proper skin care and collagen building procedures may help extend results, however due to different techniques in surgery some patients may notice outcomes lasting longer than others. Consider discussion with your provider for treatment options best for you.

There are many factors that affect longevity of face lift result. In average, it should last 10-12 years in a good candidate, but there are patients that may need new face lift 5-6 years later? Maintenance of the skin (peels, laser), weight control, smoking, sun exposure, to mention just a few, can all influence longevity of result. Most of all, patient's genetics! Hope this helps.

A patient's genetics and care determine the length of the treatment, which can be prolonged through non-surgical treatments that regenerate the internal structure of the skin. You would really need to be seen in person to evaluate the results. After a facelift a person continues to age and the skin loosens over time. It’s variable from one case to the next. Your photos do not indicate that anything wrong was done.

Thanks for in life photos but better to post multiple face photos with standard colored background. The Face Lift concept that was not explained to you is the longevity of results; is dependent on your aging genetics, the elastic tissue in your skin, your life style.
