Turkey neck remains after rhytidectomy 12 weeks ago - any input? (Photos)

Question

I had a facelift rhytidectomy 12 weeks ago. The main focus of the procedure was to eliminate the sagging skin (turkey neck). I am overall happy with the procedure since much of the facial loose skin was removed...except the turkey neck remains. My board certified doctor suggested another procedure to attempt to fully remove the remaining sagging skin. I am curious what other doctors would suggest. Any input?

You have a skin type that would probably allow a direct necklift and Z-plasty. This procedure allows the skin to be excised directly at the problem area. The z-plasty hides the incision well. In some cases, the incision can be further hidden using a CO2 laser a few months later.

I use 2 methods.
1. Thermitight to tighten it.
2. Excision of skin in the submentum (just below chin)

You can’t always expect all the loose skin to be eliminated. There is a minor procedure  called a “direct neck lift with z plasty.”That may be what your surgeon is referring to. Other than a little loose skin remaining you actually have a good result.  Google that term I mentioned for pictures
