Temple filler lumpy after 2 weeks. Do I need to wait more time to smooth out?

I had my temples filled with Restylane lyft (1/2 syringe each side) via a cannula and its been exactly 2 weeks and it's still lumpy. I now have dents/grooves where I didn't have before. Should I wait longer to see if it smoothes out? I have another appointment in 2 weeks for my 4 week follow-up and should I just address it then or be seen now?

At two weeks you are seeing your final result from your filler treatment.  I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation.  It may improve with massage or perhaps more product is needed.

A few issues presented in this RS question. #1. NO posted photos to show the "lumpiness"? #2. Sounds like only 1 syringe total was injected, thus limited amounts instilled. #3. Poor injection techniques cause lumps. I would do aggressive massages for another 2 weeks, if not improved than injection of HA dissolvers needed in a few sessions at $500/session.

Hi bethms1222! Thanks for your question! If you are 2 weeks out from filler, it is best to follow up now as the filler is most likely set, unless you had any severe bruising or swelling. I wouldn't wait another 2 weeks if you are concerned. Hope this information is helpful!
