It's not unusual for the skin to have some mild redness and swelling after a Coolsculpting treatment.. This usually resolves in a matter of hours. If this persists, I'd recommend you see your treatment provider for an evaluation.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa Aesthetic Centers
Swelling and redness is common and completely normal after a CoolSculpting treatment and should subside within the next two days. If you have any other concerns or if it persists beyond 2 - 3 days, get it checked out by your doctor to confirm everything is fine!
Thank you for your question. It is normal to have some redness and swelling after Coolsculpting treatment. Some other side effects that can occur is bruising, numbness and tingling. However, this should resolve in a few days. If you have any concerns it is always best to follow up with your treating physician. Best of Luck!
Thank you for your question,It's very common to have mild redness and swelling in the area where the applicator was placed. The redness should go away within 24 hours, other common side effects are bruising, tenderness and numbness lasting 7-14 days.
This looks like a normal inflammatory response following coolsculpting and it should resolve within a couple of days. Normal inflammatory response can include swelling, redness, bruising.
It is common for this coloring immediately following a Coolsculpt treatment. It's important to keep in mind the suction and intense cold that is at work during a treatment. This should resolve itself in 24-48 hours.
You do not say how long after the treatment was performed that these pictures were taken. Some patients can develop a reaction to the cold from the treatment. This usually is transient and resolves over 24 hours. If the symptoms persist or you develop any other symptoms you should contact your doctor.
If this occurred just after or during the procedure it will resolve, it's local a local reaction the cold and some antihistamine may help.
how long after the treatment was this photo taken? This can happen immediately after but is usually in the shape of the applicator. If not the same day of treatment I would return to the clinic and see what they think. It is odd how well delineated the shape is but doesn’t match the shape of an applicator
Dear sama99:Occasionally patients may develop a hive-like reaction to cold. Perhaps you have noticed this in the past, for example on your neck in a very cold day? This reaction should resolve quickly, typically within hours, ie sooner if an effective antihistamine is taken. It does not change the response to treatment. All the best, Dr. Clark
Thank you for your question. This is not a normal side effect of Coolsculpting treatment. I recommend having a follow up with your treating physician for proper treatment to prevent further complications. Best of Luck!
If you have true fat in the chest area then CoolSculpting can help to reduce it. If it is extra glandular tissue then CoolSculpting will not help to remove that, only surgery. It is possible to have both types of tissue. This has to be assessed by a core...
Body sculpting can be achieved with Coolsculpting alone, or in combination with tissue tightening and skin toning therapies such as Liposuction, Exilis Multiplane Tissue Tightening, Venus Legacy, Hidef Fractional laser, and the Brazilian Cellulite Treatment with Stretch Mark Laser. I would...
Thank you for your question. There are no contradictions to taking an antibiotic after Coolsculpting treatment. I only recommend avoiding taking NSAID’s after treatment because it inhibits the inflammation response we want with Coolsculpting. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. This sounds like it might be Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH). This is a rare occurrence when the fat increases in size. I recommend having a follow up with your treating physician for an evaluation and treatment. Best of Luck!
When CoolSculpting first came out, the applicator used suction to pull the fat into the treatment area and freeze it. So, therefore, we generally recommend you have some “pinchable” fat — about an inch or two of extra fat. However, Zeltiq came out with CoolAdvantage, which is a flat cooli...
